Therapy Sessions
These can be combined together to make customized therapy session

Acupressure

The goal of practicing acupressure is to  restore, replenish, and maintain the natural harmony and balance needed  in animal and human bodies to create optimal health and well-being by using a photopunture light instead of needles, 635nm 5mw single diode laser to stimulate the same central nervous points that traditional acupuncture stimulates. However, this process bolsts two large advantages: the process can be completed much faster (roughly 15 seconds per point,) as well as that no needles are involved in the process, eliminating a horse’s possible negative reaction to a needle.

Padded Photonic Therapy

This therapy utilizes dual wavelength technology, shining both the 660nm and 850nm wavelengths into the horse. One aspect of this technology that enhances its effectiveness is that the stimulated medical benefits do not stop when the laser ceases to shine in that area. While the laser increases the production of certain chemicals in a specific area, this increase continues at a declining rate even after the laser is removed. The first wavelength utilized in padded photonic therapy is a beam of visible light at 660nm. The 660nm beams produced by the pad are absorbed relatively shallowly by the horse, generating results that include helping with various skin conditions, treating and closing wounds and infections, as well as reducing the amount of scar tissue a horse may form. The second wavelength utilized in padded photonic therapy is an infrared beam, not visible to the human eye, at 850nm. This beam penetrates much deeper into the horse than the 660nm beam, allowing it to accomplish tasks ranging from increasing adenosine triphosphate production in the mitochondria to stimulating collagen repair and more.

What Other Medical Benefits Does This Massage Promote?

- Fascia Rehydration
- Scar Tissue Tension Release
- Increased Blood Circulation
- Stimulation of the Immune System
- Expedited Soft Tissue Injury Repair (e.g., tendon tear)
- Swelling and Hematoma Reduction
- Increased Lymphatic Activity

Neuro-Myofascial Body Alignment (NMBA)

NMBA is a specialized technique in which a practitioner uses an activator to introduce motion into the soft tissue surrounding and adjacent to the vertebral column, as well as other joints. The force applied by the activator stimulates a neurological response and helps break up any tension in the soft tissue surrounding the joint, allowing the horse to “reset” that joint. This technique is approved by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, as well as the International Institute for Complementary Therapists, and is classified as a soft tissue technique, not a form of chiropractic care.
